Unlike with other accommodations in the Bukima sector, the camp was originally constructed by the researcher as their station and is among the most visited camp in the Bukima region with beautiful scenery around compared to other camps.
Visitors come to explore the historical camp as they prepare to track mountain gorillas the following day thus making it the best option for gorilla trackers to have their accommodation.
The camp has six tents of which 4 have double beds, 2 with twin beds, each tent features an en suite bathroom with hot water, flush loos, drinking bottled water and other standard amenities are within each camp. The lounge tent has a restaurant that serves three meals in a day including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bar of Bukima Tented Camp is fully stocked with local and international beer that you can sip on while enjoying your comfort at platform tents.
